Psychotherapist • TEDx Speaker • Keynote Speaker • Psychology Educator
I’m Jennifer Goodson, a psychotherapist, professor of psychology, TEDx and keynote speaker, and ordained minister. My work connects mental health, education, and leadership with a shared purpose: helping people feel understood, recognize their strengths, and move forward with emotional clarity and resilience.
As the founder of Pathway Counseling Services, LLC, I provide counseling for individuals, couples, and families navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. I am a Florida licensed mental health counselor, an EMDR trained therapist, and a Certified Advanced Grief Counseling Specialist. I offer a calm, nonjudgmental environment where people can process difficult experiences, discover their strengths, and take meaningful steps toward healing.
Speaking & Leadership Training
Through Real Talk with Jenn, I bring these conversations into workplaces, faith-based organizations, and communities. I provide keynote presentations and tailored training for leadership teams and staff, helping people understand how self-awareness influences their communication, leadership presence, and the environments they create. My work addresses trauma-informed care, workplace mental health, burnout, compassion fatigue, and the emotional demands of leading and serving others.
I work with nonprofit leaders, educators, first responders, military and veteran populations, health care providers, and faith communities. These roles often involve caring for others while carrying significant responsibilities. My goal is to offer practical tools that help people support their own well-being, respond thoughtfully to others, and build healthier teams and organizations.
Faith & Ministry
As an ordained minister, I also bring more than 15 years of experience in pastoral counseling, leadership development, and mental health advocacy. This background informs my work with faith-based organizations as they strengthen their understanding of mental health and create compassionate, supportive environments for those they serve. Across my work, I respect the different backgrounds, beliefs, and worldviews each person brings.
Education & Experience
My experience spans private practice, inpatient care, and community mental health settings. I also serve as a professor of psychology at Warner University, helping students connect psychological concepts with everyday life. I hold a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regent University and dual bachelor’s degrees in Psychology and Applied Behavioral Sciences from the University of Arizona Global Campus.
Whether we connect in the counseling room, classroom, workplace, or faith community, my heart is to help people feel seen, find perspective, and put meaningful change into practice.
